All glass is unique and melts in its own individual way. Some bottles may have small bubbles that lend character to the piece. Bottles come in different shapes as well. Some bottles are taller with straight bodies (such as Merlot, Pinot Grigio and Cabernet wines), while some are more fuller bodied (such as sparkling wines, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir wines). Each type melts in its own characteristic shape.
The bottles that I melt are all re-cycled from neighboring homes and restaurants. Some appear on my doorstep like magic. Unfortunately the bottles are always empty. Can’t blame a girl for trying.
Every time I visit new places I get different bottles which become new treasures. I love making beautiful pieces from potential trash.
